Kersten Burns is Women In Government’s Graduate Policy Fellow for Care Coordination and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Public Policy at George Mason University. Prior to joining Women In Government, Kersten served as a Community HealthCorps member with Cherry Street Health Services, assisting patients with basic and healthcare needs through case management. She has also interned with such organizations as the National Association of Community Health Centers and the Children’s Defense Fund. A proud Michigan native, Kersten received her bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Political Science from Hope College in 2008.
